Nemaha Natural Resources District crews report that water levels have receded at Kirkman’s Cove and Iron Horse Trail Lake allowing for boating restrictions to be lifted at both parks as of June 6.
Work was required to reset the boat docks, which were left askew by the high waters. Visitors are also alerted that debris deposited around the lake edges has not yet been cleared since the ground is too soft for the machinery required to clean up the mess. However, that should not hinder users from enjoying most of the amenities at the parks. The Nemaha NRD appreciates everyone’s cooperation and understanding during the closures. If you have questions, contact the NRD in Tecumseh at 335-3325.
