Patricia J. Goodwin, 71, of Omaha, formerly of Nebraska City, died May 15, 2013 at the Montclair Nursing Center in Omaha. She was born on Dec. 4, 1941 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City to Floyd and Helen L. (Secord) Clark, Jr.
After high school, she then attended Bellevue College where she learned key punch operation/computer programming.
Patricia was a member of the Omaha North Corps Salvation Army. She worked for 20 years for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. as a Key Punch Operator and later a Computer Programmer.
Patricia is survived by her children Michael A. Nist and wife Jennifer of Omaha, Carolyn A. Warner of Omaha, Donna M. Baxter of Omaha, Gary D. Baxter, Jr. of Denton, Texas, Joel R. Baxter of Denton, Texas and Timothy Nist of Omaha; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; siblings Shirley McCain of Omaha, Flora Henry of Philadelphia, Penn., Ralph Clark of Omaha, Floyd Clark of Omaha, Bonnie Naffzinger of Las Vegas, Nev., and Gary Clark of Lincoln; other family and friends.
She was preceded by three children, Roy L. Nist, Brady S. Nist and Donald E. Baxter and one grandson Zachary Nist.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 24, at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Lt. Pam Kasten officiating. Burial will follow the services at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 6 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 2424 Pratt St., in Omaha.
