The Nebraska City and Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca boys’ golf teams wrapped up their seasons on Monday by competeing at the Class B-2 district meet at Tiburon Golf Course in Omaha.
Blair won the district team title and qualified as a team for state with a score of 344. The second and third place teams, Omaha Skutt, 349, and Omaha Gross, 350, also qualified as teams.
S-D-A finished in fifth place, three strokes in front of sixth place Elkhorn. The Rockets shot 376.
Nebraska City shot 432, seven shots ahead of rival Auburn, 439.
Vance Janssen of Blair won the individual district champion with a 78. Golfers who finished in the individual top 10 automatically qualified for state even if their team did not finish in the top three of the final standings.
Neither Otoe County school had an individual qualifier this year.
Auburn had a qualifier as Trayven Blex, a senior, shot a sixth place 83.
