Julianne Gail Koch, 70, of Sheridan, Wyo., died April 29, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 18, 1942, to Francis J. and Beatrice G. Winder.
She graduated from Grant High School in 1963 in Portland Ore., then attended Midwestern School of Evangelism in Ottumwa, Iowa, and William Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She received a bachelor’s of science degree in Education from Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y., and taught school in Puerto Rico and in San Louis Obispo, Calif.
She married Kyle Koch on July 25, 1968, in Portland and they made their home in Hamburg, Iowa. They then moved to Wray, Colo., then Wyoming for 20 years. She worked for the post office in Wray and she transferred with the post office to Sheridan and worked there until this past March.
Juli is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kyle Koch of Sheridan; daughters Heather Daniell and husband Gary of Cleburne, Texas, Melissa Curuchet of Buffalo, and Erin Pennington and husband Todd of Brownwood, Texas; sons Justin Koch of Sheridan and fiancé Laura of Brazil and Cody Koch of Sheridan; brother Jim Winder and wife Shirley of Hollister, Calif.; sister Nancy Ellis and husband Dick of Ottumwa and nine grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters-in-law.
Funeral services were May 2 at the Bethesda Worship Center in Sheridan with Keevin Koch officiating.
Friends may donate to the Juli Koch Memorial to help the family defray final expenses, in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo, Wyo., which was in charge of arrangements.
