CITY BLESSED WITH FINE DINING

Nebraska City has always been blessed with some great dining places..even way back in the late 40's and early "50's..Ill try to remember the top 15-20 that i can remember..a lot of these i remember since i delivered the News-Press to most of these.ALL are gone now.

BENNET CAFE  Under the old skating rink there was a cafe..I think run by the Bennet family..boy could she fry up a great burger.

WILSON CAFE.. located next door to the old City Laundry, owned by Neil Wilson..Tey took special care of me on Saturdays when i went in to collect for the News-Press..At that time carriers collected every saturday to pay their bills..sometimes people would pay by the month to save us coming back

DAWSON OIL south of town had a  nice cafe, where most of the high schools haunted after ball games..
