Police estimate $20,000 damage to the Douglas Tire building in Nebraska City after it was hit by a car Friday.
The driver, 84-year-old Robert B. Peiffer of Dunbar told police he was attempting to make a right turn.
A 1996 Buick Lesabre driven by Robert B. Pfeiffer, 84, of Dunbar struck the Douglas Tire building near Central Avenue and 13th Street on Friday, April 19.
Pfeiffer told police he had stopped on the roadway and accelerated to make a right turn.
The car ran onto the sidewalk and into the building.
Police estimate damage to the building at $20,000.
