A Missouri man was hospitalized Friday morning after trucks and semi-trailers collided at the Interstate 29 intersection with Highway 2 east of Nebraska City.
Robert Davis, 68, of Hopkins, Mo., was flown from the scene on a Mercy One helicopter and transported to University of Nebraska-Omaha Medical Center.
The Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports that a truck and semi-trailer driven by David Martin, 47, of Yukon, Okla., was exiting the interstate. After stopping at the highway intersection, Martin proceeded without yielding to the eastbound truck driven by Davis, the sheirff's office reports.
Martin was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
First responders were fropm Percival, Sidney and Nebraska City. The Fremont County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Iowa Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and Iowa Department of Transportation.
