Debra “Bee Bee” (Shefferd) Perry, 56, of Nebraska City died April 14, 2013 at her home. She was born on Oct. 29, 1956 in Nebraska City to Richard M. and Sadona P. (Bassinger) Shefferd. She attended school in Nebraska City. She married Robert “Bubber” Perry on Aug. 23, 1980 at Coryell Park near Brock, Neb.
She worked at Duff’s Friendship Villa in Nebraska City, at Hamburg Grocery in Hamburg, Iowa, and most recently the Nebraska City Post Office. She dearly loved playing Bingo.
She is survived by husband Robert “Bubber” Perry of Nebraska City; father Richard “Dick” Shefferd of Nebraska City; brothers Richard A. “Dickie” Shefferd and Bruce Shefferd and wife Chrissy, all of Nebraska City; brothers and sisters-in-law Ronald Perry and wife Karen of Hamburg, Roger Perry and significant other Deb of Shenandoah, Karen Allumbaugh and husband Darrell of Hamburg, and Anita Shelton and husband Herb of Shenandoah; mother-in-law Elsie Foster of Hamburg and niece Jessica Shefferd of Nebraska City other family and friends.
She was preceded by her mother, Sadona Shefferd, on Nov. 17, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Bishop Troy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow the services at Camp Creek Cemetery in rural Nebraska City.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at the mortuary.
