  • Karen S. Stovall, 69, of Nebraska City died April 13, 2013 at theAmbassador in Nebraska City. She was born on Sept. 16, 1943 in Omaha to Gurdon William and Alice Mae (Wertenberger) Crocker. She attended Benson High School in Omaha then Gretna High School where she graduated in 1961. She attended the Nebraska School of Cosmetology in Omaha, graduating in 1963.

  • Karen S. Stovall, 69, of Nebraska City died April 13, 2013 at theAmbassador in Nebraska City. She was born on Sept. 16, 1943 in Omaha to Gurdon William and Alice Mae (Wertenberger) Crocker. She attended Benson High School in Omaha then Gretna High School where she graduated in 1961. She attended the Nebraska School of Cosmetology in Omaha, graduating in 1963.
    She married Gene F. Pearsall on Feb. 24, 1966 in Omaha. They had two daughters, Kris and Kim. She later married James L. Stovall on Nov. 27, 1992 in Nebraska City.
    Karen worked for many years at Region V Services in Nebraska City and retired in 2009. Prior to her working at Region V, she worked at the Glenwood State School at Glenwood, Iowa. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, the P.E.O.-Sidney, Iowa Chapter and the First United Methodist Church in Nebraska City.
    Survivors include her children: Kris Bowers and husband Willie of San Antonio, Texas, Kim Molitor and husband Troy of Sartell, Minn., Paula Ferguson and husband Dan, Christy Campbell and husband Ken, Marty Stovall and wife Dana and Cari Lee and husband Kyle, all of Nebraska City; 15 grandchildren; two-greatgrandchildren; sister Shirley Miller and husband Russell of Omaha; brother William Crocker and wife Marcy of Glenwood; her daughters Kris and Kim’s father Gene Pearsall of Sidney; other family and many friends.
    She was preceded by husband Jim Stovall on April 6, 2011.
    Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City; burial will follow in the Wyuka Cemetery at Nebraska City.  
    Pallbearers will be Willie Bowers, Troy Molitor, Dan Ferguson, Ken Campbell, Kyle Lee, Marty Stovall and William Crocker.
    The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Gude Mortuary.
    Memorials may be given to Tabitha Hospice or the Ambassador of Nebraska City.
