Lois A. Dukes, 79, of Nebraska City, died April 7, 2013 at St. Elizabeth’s Regional Medical Center in Lincoln. She was born on Dec. 1, 1933 in Nebraska City to John and Jessie (Coffman) Dukes.
She worked for 31 years at American Meter in Nebraska City and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Nebraska City.
She is survived by son Mike Bennett and wife Debra of Nebraska City; daughters Kathy Betts and husband Lynn of Anderson, Iowa, and Terri Sands of Otoe; sister Phyllis Layman and husband Jim of Percival, Iowa; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded by three brothers, four sisters and one granddaughter.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. Burial will follow the services at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the mortuary.
Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church in Nebraska City.
