  • "She's Killing Me" was an apt title for this week's hour of Grey's Anatomy. Surprisingly, though, it was Bailey who was the titular "she."
After two of her patients returned to the hospital with post-op infections, Bailey proceeds to blame Intern Leah, who admits to have been running a fever when initially treating the patients. But when a third similar case comes in that Leah didn't actually treat and one of the initial patients dies - it comes to light that it is in fact Bailey who may have created an infectious disease that she could've spread to every patient she treated a few weeks prior.
Poor Bailey! She's always been the stalwart resident-turned-attending who was on track to become the next chief of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. But now her job has certainly been called into question since it seemed that Leah was likely going to be fired when they thought it was her fault. Still, it's always great to see Chandra Wilson get a meaty story line, and this one proved once again why she should be given an Emmy. Sadly, the four-time nominee didn't even get a nod after the hospital shooting, therefore we have no faith in it ever happening.
Meanwhile, there was plenty of fine acting to go around for several doctors at the hospital. Let's take a look:
Meredith: After discovering she did test positive for the risk-factor genes that lead to Alzheimer's, Meredith and Derek decide to rewrite their will - Lexie was still on there, after all - but Meredith is disheartened to discover that Cristina doesn't actually want to be the mother to Zola and McFetus should something happen to both Derek and Meredith. Cristina will, however, give her a lethal dose of morphine once her memory goes. So there's that.
Owen: The son of those two patients from the car crash last week is still at the hospital waiting for his father to wake up and for his mother to recover. But when he's going to be sent away with child services, Owen once again fights to keep him there, showing that he still does want children - something that Cristina definitely takes note of. Does this mean the topic will soon be up for discussion again?
The Syrian doctors: Two doctors from Syria come to Grey Sloan in order to learn procedures using limited resources that they can perform during wartime back in their home country. To see what methods they'd have to use was certainly a wake-up call, but they balanced levity with the seriousness of the situation perfectly.
Page 2 of 2 - Honorable mention: April Kepner. Sure, her analogy between lying about her virginity and the Syrian warzone was awful - and Matt thankfully called her out on it - but it lead to her stealing supplies for the Syrian team, which was a heartwarming moment.
