Accuweather forecasts mild weather east of the Mississippi River by mid-April, but is not recommending summer clothes for the Midwest and Northeast just yet.

Meteorologist Mark Paquette, a member of the AccuWeather.com Long Range Forecasting Team, expects a warm spell in the East after April 7.

Paquette said the mild temperatures may not hold up for residents of the Midwest, mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

"At the end of April and early May, watch for another change in the weather pattern to bring a cloudy, cool and dreary spell," he said.
