  • The Peru State softball team will play four games on the road next week with doubleheaders at Evangel, Mo., at 2 and 4 p.m. Tuesday and MidAmerica Nazarene, Kan., at 4 and 6 p.m. Wednesday.

  • The Peru State softball team will play four games on the road next week with doubleheaders at Evangel, Mo., at 2 and 4 p.m. Tuesday and MidAmerica Nazarene, Kan., at 4 and 6 p.m. Wednesday.
    Peru State is 2-14 on the season so far with their wins coming in recent games against Sterling, Kan., 10-3, and McPherson, Kan., 6-5.
    Stat leaders for the team thus far are Traci Bohlmeyer of Fairbury, 15 hits; Emily Maresh, Central City, six RBI; Tesla Oldfield, Nebraska City, four stolen bases; and Lauren Johnson, Seward, 4.34 ERA and three-plus strikeout per pitching outing average.
