  • Clara Alice “Peggy” Horner, 85, of Nebraska City died March 10, 2013 at St. Mary’s Community Hospital in Nebraska City. She was born on June 23, 1927 in Verdon to Earl and Arlie (Kilgore) McConaha. She was married to Edward Carl Hershey and to Percy Bishop Horner, both of whom preceded her in death.

  • Clara Alice “Peggy” Horner, 85, of Nebraska City died March 10, 2013 at St. Mary’s Community Hospital in Nebraska City. She was born on June 23, 1927 in Verdon to Earl and Arlie (Kilgore) McConaha. She was married to Edward Carl Hershey and to Percy Bishop Horner, both of whom preceded her in death.
    She worked for many years at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City as a nutritionist.
    She is survived by children Ed Hershey and wife Janice of Lincoln, Barb Penezic and husband John of Canon City, Colo., Alice Haselwood and husband Eddy of Pueblo West, Colo., Hope Arthur and husband Terry of Canon City, Colo., Earl Hershey and wife Gerry of Newport News, Va., Pat Rumery and husband Dave of Talmage, Sherry Bright and husband Billy of Hamburg, Iowa, Rocky Horner and wife Teresa of Nebraska City, Sandy Cooper and husband Kennis of Nebraska City, nd Robyn Ferguson and husband Kenny of Nebraska City; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; other family and many friends.
    In addition to her husbands, she was preceded by son Jamie A. Horner and daughter Cindy Sue Axtell.
     No formal services will be held.  Memorials may be given to the family.
