Betty June Davis, 82, of Nebraska City died March 6, 2013 at St. Mary's Community Hospital in Nebraska City. She was born June 19, 1930 at Stockville to Bryan Theodore and Emma Lou (Williams) Coe. She married Max Allen Griffith Davis on July 8, 1948 at Deshler.
She is survived by husband Max Davis of Nebraska City; son Rev. Michael Davis and wife Janet of Elgin; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters Ruby Mitchell of Victorville, Calif., Shirley Forsgren of Lincoln, and Patty Weber of Loveland, Colo.; brother Clark Coe of Puyallup, Wash.; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded by daughter Teddy Lee Becker; brothers Ray Coe, Bryan Coe, Jr. and Lloyd Coe; and sisters Lorraine Bade and Joan Coe.
She worked as a nurse's aide at St. Mary's Community Hospital in Nebraska City prior to retirement. She lived in Deshler, Oxford and Sidney, Neb., before moving to Nebraska City in 1952.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved making friends and spending time with family. She also loved doing volunteer work at her church and the Ambassador Care Center.
Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 11, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Charles Kathurima M. and Rev. Michael A. Davis officiating.
Visitations: 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with the family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment was at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.
Pallbearers were Thomas Becker, Trenton Becker, Tyron Becker, Theresa Becker, Travis Becker, Anne Marie Eklund, Philip Davis and Evan Davis.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice, the First United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society in Lincoln.
