The old skating rink on the second floor on sixth street and central avenue was a great place to meet friends and have lots of fun until it burned to the ground..right next door to the Nebraska City Fire Dept building early in the 1970's  The rink was owned by the Gaylord family..a place for good fun, exercise, and a good place to skate...below the rink was a fine restaurant , again for fine food and a good visit.

The  Gaylors daughter and son-in-law the Gittingers..who continued a great place..

My cousin and best friend Jerome Keran's  uncle John Keran became manager..this gave Jerome and I  pretty much of a chance to meet lots of kids from 4-H, FFA,  and area high schoolers when they came in to have their own private parties...What a great way to meet all the young ladies who came in..The rink was also opened on weekend nights to the public and other nights for special parties....the lot is now just a parking lot after having several businesses..before all came down
