  • Ernest Leroy “Bud” Driever, 70, of Nebraska City died at Duff’s Friendship Villa in Nebraska City Feb. 9, 2013. He was born Aug. 28, 1942 at Sidney, Iowa, to William Leroy “Roy” and Doris Elaine (Wilson) Driever. He married Dee Bagley Feb. 9, 1963 at Nebraska City. They later divorced.

  • Ernest Leroy “Bud” Driever, 70, of Nebraska City died at Duff’s Friendship Villa in Nebraska City Feb. 9, 2013. He was born Aug. 28, 1942 at Sidney, Iowa, to William Leroy “Roy” and Doris Elaine (Wilson) Driever. He married Dee Bagley Feb. 9, 1963 at Nebraska City. They later divorced.
    He is survived by his life partner, Barb Benton of Nebraska City; sons Kevin Ray Driever of Syracuse and Matthew James Driever and wife Tina of Nebraska City; daughter Lori Anne Koeneke and husband Jerry of Nebraska City; son, Robert Benton of Omaha; daughter Kimberly Diaz of Indiana; grandchildren Scott Epland, Bryan Epland, Mariah Koeneke, Bradley Driever, Kelson Driever, Kaycee Driever, Maria Diaz, Antonio Diaz and Marcus Hauptman; great grandchild Cooper Ray Driever; sister Caroline Hopkins of Sidney; many other relatives and friends.
    He lived in Sidney until moving to Nebraska City in 1972. He worked many years in the auto body industry.  He also farmed and did woodworking.  He was a graduate of the Sidney High School, loved fishing and horses.  He loved music and played in several bands over the years.
    Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with words of comfort by Terry Weible.
    Memorials are suggested to the Riverview Marina in Nebraska City.
    Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. There will be no viewing.
