Three Nebraska City High School students are being held at a juvenile detention facility in Sarpy County today for suspicion of involvement in a car theft on Feb. 1.
Police took a report Friday of a stolen Acura from the high school parking lot while its owner was in class.
The car was recovered on Tuesday where it had been abandoned south of the former Morton House Kitchens factory complex.
Cpt. Lonnie Neeman said the rear passenger window had been smashed in and it appeared that the car was abandoned after it became stuck in the snow and mud.
On Wednesday, police arrested three juveniles who also attend the high school for suspicion of stealing the car.
Neeman said the students had left the school early on Friday.
