Ethel F. Barker, 82, of Hamburg, died Jan. 29, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was born on Nov. 11, 1930 in Criag, Mo., to James H. and Ethel (Johnson) Honea.
She married Paul J. Barker on July 7, 1947 in Craig. He preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2000. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by her children: Jon Barker and wife Joanie of Jonesboro, Ark., James Robert Barker of Shenandoah, Candace Bradley and husband Michael of Hamburg, Orville Barker of Salem, Ore., Eric Barker and wife Cindy of Sheridan, Ore., Randy Barker and wife Kim of Riverton, Jay Barker and wife Bobbi of Bayard and Penny Lockhart of Hamburg; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild; siblings J.H. Honea and wife Mary of Shenandoah, Goldie Parkhurst of Hamburg, and Lileth Kahue and husband Joe of Hamburg; other family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by infant daughter Peggy Maureen Barker, grandson Brian Allen Barker, and siblings Lula Miller and Jimmy Honea.
Funeral services were Feb. 4 at Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg. Burial was at Mt. Olive Cemetery in rural Hamburg.
