    • Packers WR Donald Driver announced he will retire from the NFL. There will be a public event for the formal announcement next Wednesday at the Lambeau Field Atrium.
"I played my entire career in Green Bay and have always enjoyed a special bond with the fans," said Driver. "I can think of no better way to retire than to celebrate with them and the Packers organization."
In 14 seasons, Driver had 743 catches for 10,137 yards and 61 touchdowns. He had seven 1,000-yard receiving seasons, including six in a row from 2004-09. A seventh-round pick in 1999 out of Alcorn State, Driver exploded onto the scene in his fourth season, when he had 70 catches for 1,064 yards and nine touchdowns in 2002.
A three-time Pro Bowler, Driver retires as the all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards in Packers history. In his final season, Driver played in 13 games with one start and had eight catches for 77 yards and two touchdowns.
