• Iowa woman rescued after car slides into roadside pond

  • Shenandoah Fire and Rescue helped a 77-year-old woman escape from a vehicle that had slid into a pond and partially submerged on Jan. 30.

    The Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports that the Louise Ellis of Lytton, Iowa, was driving near the intersection of Highway 59 and 320th Street when the car hit a patch of ice and spun out of control.
