Stacy Vollertsen Woods, 41, of Lincoln died Jan. 26, 2013 in Lincoln. She was born April 1, 1971 at Columbus to Roger and Kathy Vollertsen. Stacy graduated from Syracuse High School, Southeast Community College, and Kaplan University in Lincoln.
She is survived by husband Mike Woods Lincoln; father Roger Vollertsen and wife Sharon, Syracuse; brother Jon Vollertsen and wife Meesha and their children, Jaden, Tanner, Makenna and Jaxon, Lincoln; grandmothers Iva Dell Vollertsen, Syracuse, and Ruth Davison Wilson, Omaha; mother-in-law Holly South, Miles City, Mont.; sisters-in-law Terri Puente and Tina Miller and brother-in-law Darrin Woods, Grand Island; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and beloved cats, Bigsy, Little Man and Emma.
She was preceded by her mother, Kathy, and stepfather, Chuck Abels, and grandfathers John Richard Davison and Melvin Vollertsen.
Memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Metz Chapel in York. Inurnment will be in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation as it was Stacy’s wish to be cremated. Memorials may be directed to Lincoln’s Humane Society. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.metzmortuary.com.
