Joseph S. Click, 66, of Nebraska City died Jan. 16, 2013 at St. Mary’s Community Hospital in Nebraska City. Joe was born on June 29, 1946 in Celina, Ohio, to Adis William and Agnes Elizabeth (Chlopek) Click.
He was baptized in the Catholic Church and attended St. Bonaventure Catholic School in Venice, Calif., through the eigth grade. His family then moved to Iowa and he graduated from the Sidney High School in 1964.
He married Connie Y. Irwin on April 17, 1970 in Nebraska City.
Joe worked at Morton House Kitchens, American Meter and Cargill. He was a member of the Eagles.
He enjoyed NASCAR, Daytona Beach and bowling, once bowling a 298 game. His main love was his family and especially his grandchildren Chloe and Evan.
He is survived by his wife Connie Click of Nebraska City; children Tony Click and wife Lisa of Papillion and Dannielle Click of Lincoln; grandchildren Chloe and Evan; mother Agnes Frakes of Nebraska City; siblings Patrick “Mike” Frakes of Nebraska City, Carleen Spidell of Nebraska City and Renee Potter and husband Tom of Lincoln; sister-in-law Ginger Meek and husband Denny and brother-in-law Wayne Irwin, all of Nebraska City; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by infant brother Carl Click.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Terry Weible officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
The family will greet friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the mortuary.
