  • 4-State beef conference scheduled Jan. 29 at Beatrice

  • The 2013 beef conference scheduled Jan. 29 at the UNL extension office in Beatrice features programs on dry lotting, genetics and feed efficiency and a beef industry update.

    The conference provides a forum for extension specialists from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.

  • Cattle producers in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri are invited to the annual 4-State Beef Conference scheduled Jan. 29 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Gage County extension office in Beatrice.
    Spearkers include Dr. Matt Spangler, beef cattle breeding & genetics Extension Specialist, University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Daren Williams, executive director of communications of tghe National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and  Todd Kalous, market analyst for Cattle Fax, andDr. Rick Rasby, extension beef specialist, University of Nebraska-Lincoln .
    The 4-State Beef Conferences are designed to give beef cattle producers in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska an annual update on current cow-calf and stocker topics. The conferences provide a forum of Extension Specialists from four of the USA’s leading beef cattle land grant universities.
