  • The Peru State men's and women's basketball teams will carry two-game winning streaks into Thursday night home action against Benedictine College.
    Kody Kirkpatrick scored 15 points to help the Bobcats beat Grace University 81-64 on Monday. Six Bobcats ended up in double figures on the night.
    With the win, the Bobcats advanced their overall season record to 8-8.
    In other recent action, the Bobcats beat Missouri Valley 86-79 on Jan. 5. Kirkpatrick had 27 and Nate Bohy had 17.
    Courtney Ward scored 24 points in each of the last two games as the Bobcat women beat Grace University 70-54 on Monday and topped Missouri Valley 65-53 on Jan. 5. The Bobcats' overall record now stands at 7-10.
    Tip times for Thursday games at the Al Wheeler Activity Center will be 5 p.m. for the women and 7 p.m. for the men.
