Elmer E. Morehead, Jr., 80, of Unadilla, formerly of Lincoln and Bennet, died Jan. 2, 2013.
He was a Korean war veteran and worked as a truck driver after retiring from the American Stores. His greatest joy was having his wife, Dorothy, ride with him when he drove his truck.
He is survived by his children Charlotte (Marvin) Wood, Randy Morehead and Sandy (Robert) Brugh; grandchildren Lynnet (Norris) Talcott, Alisa (Lyndell) Shepherd, Roy (Erika) Wood, David (Janelle) Wood, Lindsey Walsh and Kyle Swanigan; 9 great grandchildren; brother William (Verna) Morehead; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his wife, Dorothy; son Gary; and sisters Sharon and Karen.
Funeral service is Saturday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St., Lincoln. Visitation is Friday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside service is Monday at 1 p.m. at the Burchard Cemetery at Burchard. Memorials are suggested to the family for a later designation.
