The Nebraska State Patrol made 101 Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) arrests from December 14, 2012, through January 1, 2013, as a part of the nationwide “You Drink & Drive. You Lose” enforcement campaign.

The Nebraska State Patrol made 101 Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) arrests from December 14, 2012, through January 1, 2013, as a part of the nationwide “You Drink & Drive. You Lose” enforcement campaign.

Troopers and Communications Specialists put in overtime hours during the holidays thanks in part to a nearly $28,000 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).

In addition to the 101 DWI arrests, troopers issued 1,555 speeding citations, 98 driving under suspension citations and 141 citations for no proof of insurance. Troopers also wrote 320 seat belt citations and warnings, as well as 51 child restraint citations and warnings. Motorist assistance was provided to 714 travelers.
