  • Robbers broke into Thurman home and tied up residents at gunpoint

  • The Fremont County Sheriff's Office is looking two suspects from an armed robbery in Thurman, Iowa, on Friday.

    At about 8:58 p.m. on Dec. 21 deputies responded to 1423 Western Ave. where two men broke into a residence, displayed a handgun and tied up victims. Numerous items were taken from the residence.

  • The Fremont County Sheriff's Office is looking two suspects from an armed robbery in Thurman, Iowa, on Friday.
    At about 8:58 p.m. on Dec. 21 deputies responded to 1423 Western Ave. where two men broke into a residence, displayed a handgun and tied up victims. Numerous items were taken from the residence.
    The suspects are described as black males. The man carrying the semi-automatic pistol was wearing a dark coat, dark pants and was being called "Pete". The second man was wearing a tan coat with a fur lined collar and blue jeans.
    The vehicle driven by the suspects was caught on camera and was a red Peterbilt truck with a white semi-trailer. Deputies report that the truck was seen heading south on Interstate 29.
    If anyone has any information regarding the suspects or semi-trailer truck, call the sheriff's office at 712-374-2424.
    The sheriff's office warns people against approaching the suspects as they are presumed to be armed and dangerous.
