Veterans cemetery to serve eastern Nebraska and western Iowa

Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.) today issued the following statement after the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) announced the purchase of land for a new national cemetery at South 144th Street (Highway 50) and Schram Road in Sarpy County. The cemetery will serve veterans in eastern Nebraska, western Iowa and northwest Missouri.
