Police investigate report of Friday night break-in and assault

Nebraska City police are investigating the report of a break-in and assault at a Nebraska City residence about the time of the thunderstorm on Friday night.

Police Chief David Lacy said he is concerned about the report, as well as similar allegations made about two months ago.

He said police are processing evidence today and still have questions regarding statements of alleged victims.
