Dorothy Adelaide (Durr) Sullivan, 79, died Dec. 11, 2012 at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln. She was born on Aug. 3, 1933 at rural Nebraska City near Paul. She was the daughter of Hubert and Bertha (Volkmer) Durr.
She graduated from St. Bernard’s Academy (Lourdes Central Catholic) in Nebraska City.
Dorothy was a nursing assistant for many years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lincoln. She moved to Lincoln from Nebraska City in 1982.
She was a loving and devoted mother.
She is survived by her five children: Timothy Sullivan and wife Yorleny Diaz-Sullivan of Lincoln, Patrick Sullivan of Lincoln, Kevin Sullivan of Shenandoah, Va., Colleen Young and husband Andrew of Canby, Ore., and Joan Sullivan of Lincoln; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister Mary Kaiser and husband Leonard of Nebraska City; brother James Durr and wife Patsy of Jefferson, N.C.; sister-in-law Joan Durr of Omaha; numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded by brother Kermit Durr.
Funeral services were Dec. 14 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church southwest of Nebraska City. Fr. Thomas Bush and Fr. Brenden Kelley were celebrants for the Mass. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
A rosary vigil was held Thursday led by Fr. Thomas Bush.

Gude Mortuary, Nebraska City, was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
