Father Tim
Tim Schenck is an Episcopal priest, husband to Bryna, father to Benedict and Zachary, and \x34master\x34 to Delilah (about 50 in dog years). Since 2009 I've been the rector of the Episcopal Parish of St. John the Evangelist in Hingham, Mass. (on the South Shore of Boston). I've also served parishes in Maryland and New York. When I'm not tending to my parish, hanging out with my family, or writing, I can usually be found drinking good coffee -- not that drinking coffee and these other activities are mutually exclusive. I hope you'll visit my website at www.frtim.com to find out more about me, read some excerpts from my book \x34What Size are God's Shoes: Kids, Chaos & the Spiritual Life\x34 (Morehouse, 2008), and check out some recent sermons.

Four Houses: Deck the Halls | Photo Credits: TLC

Is there such a thing as too much Christmas cheer?

On TLC's Four Houses: Deck the Halls, airing Tuesday at 10/9c, four Christmas-crazy homeowners compete to prove that they have the most holiday spirit. Marie is all about elegance and minimalism, Jason's trademark is animatronic displays, Dhonna uses live people for dynamic tableaus, and Kevin the retired firefighter? Well, Kevin likes lights. Lots of them.

Check out this exclusive sneak peek of the contestants looking at Kevin's house - or at least we assume there's a house under the 1,000 mega-watt glare from the Christmas lights and display pieces ranging from blinking snowflakes and a Nativity scene to carolers and Santa Pig. It's as if Lite Brite wanted to create a landmark by which aliens could navigate. Watch the clip and let us know if you think Kevin's home is gaudy or nice:
