Three players finished in double figures to lead the Lourdes boys' basketball team in a season-opening 53-42 loss at Lewiston on Thursday night.
The Knights took a 9-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and the game stood tied at the half, but the Tigers had their two best scoring quarters after the break with 15 points in the third and 22 points in the fourth quarter. Lourdes scored nine and 17 points in the final two periods.
Aaron Miller was the top scorer for the Knights with 16. Mitch Gude had 12 and Jameson DeFreece had 10. Alex Hogeland and Jake Anthens each had two points.
Lourdes will return to action on Saturday at home against Johnson-Brock.
Action starts with the girls' JV at 1 p.m. and will be followed by the boys' JV, girls' varsity and boys' varsity.
