Citians line Central Avenue to say goodbye to William Perkins

Hundreds of Nebraska Citians attended a service and lined Central Avenue Friday afternoon for a final goodbye to William Perkins, who was widely known as Walkin' Willie.

Perkins, 79, "was an honest man" said one man at his funeral service at Gude Mortuary.

It was among many remarks and memories that brought jollity to the solemn funeral service.
