Southeast Nebraska Community Action is asking residents to keep their eyes peeled for a stolen Salvation Army kettle.
The 10-inch red, metal kettle was stolen from the counter at Casey's General Store in Nebraska City at 4 a.m. on Nov. 28. It has a Salvation Army sticker on top and contact information SENCA.
It was one of four mini-kettles available for donations in Otoe County. Kettles are also located at the American National Bank, Farmers Bank and Casey's store in Syracuse.
Mary Bennett of SENCA's Otoe County outreach said volunteers are still being signed up to be bell ringers prior to Christmas. She said there is the potential for three sites in Otoe County.
Volunteers can call Bennett at 402-873-6459.
