  • Two injured as dump trucks collide in Fremont County

  • A 1996 Peterbuilt dump truck driven by Jacob Ryan Miner, 24, of Red Oak, was rear-ended by a 1994 Peterbuilt dump truck driven by John Everett Miner, Jr., 47, of Emerson. John Miner was seriously injured and transported by medical helicopter to UNMC.

  • On Nov. 27, the Fremont County Sheriff’s office and Shenandoah Rescue responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of 150th Street and 380th Avenue in Fremont County. A 1996 Peterbuilt dump truck driven by Jacob Ryan Miner, 24, of Red Oak, was rear-ended by a 1994 Peterbuilt dump truck driven by John Everett Miner, Jr., 47, of Emerson.
    Both vehicles were eastbound on 150th when Jacob Miner slowed to turn north on 380th Avenue and was struck from behind.
    John Miner was transported by Mercy One helicopter to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with serious injuries. Jacob Miner was transported by Shenandoah Rescue to the Shenandoah Medical Center with minor injuries.
