I just love the saying that raising a family is like baking a cake from scratch… it can get real messy! There are many important ingredients which help to develop a strong, thoughtful, resilient, confident child. Sometimes parents loose sight of what is important, or how just how powerful a word of encouragement can be. Sometimes parents forget that children are children, or that they need continuous guidance, not another friend. Parenting is tough. It’s challenging and exhausting. It’s a full time job which lasts for years.  Parents need support, encouragement and guidance, just as their children do.
