  • Cass County voters will decide bond issues, sales tax and decides challenges on the county board and Plattsmouth School Board.


    Greenwood voters will decide a $800,000 bond for a village hall/community center. The Village of Murray proposes a 1 percent sales tax.

    Tax issues
    Greenwood voters will decide a $800,000 bond for a village hall/community center. The Village of Murray proposes a 1 percent sales tax.
    School board
    There are six candidates for five seats on the Plattsmouth school board.
    Incumbents include Ken Winters, a former fire chief; Tony Foster, a Papillion police officer; and Karen Tesarek-Parsons, a Sunday school teacher and Girl Scout leader who worked 30 years for the Mutual of Omaha.
    Robert Mueller, who manages engineering projects for the federal government is seeking his first term on the board.
    Also running are Nancy Fitzpatrick and Matt Glup.
    County board
    Running for district 1 county commisisoner are Repuboican John Waring and Democrat incumbent John Baroni.
    For district 4 are Republican Dan Henry and Democrat Eric Nielsen.
    Villages
    Avoca village board as three candidtes for two seats.
    Running are Harold Ehmke, Bonnie Miller and Richard F. Moses.
