Isal Esther Bohlen, 94, of Sidney, Iowa, died at The Ambassador in Sidney on Nov. 4, 2012. She was born July 7, 1918 at Hyannis, Neb. to Charles and Lulu (Robb) Moyer.
Isal Esther Bohlen, 94, of Sidney, Iowa, died at The Ambassador in Sidney on Nov. 4, 2012. She was born July 7, 1918 at Hyannis, Neb. to Charles and Lulu (Robb) Moyer. She married Arnold John Bohlen June 5, 1937 at Rock Port, Mo.
She is survived by children Evelyn Sydow and husband Stanley of Sidney, Esther McCown of Nebraska City, and Charles Bohlen and wife Patricia of Hamburg, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren with one on the way; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded by her husband Feb. 9, 1986 and grandson David McCown.
She lived in Percival, Iowa, and Nebraska City. She was a homemaker.
She loved quilting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
A luncheon for the celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Percival Community Church. There will be no viewing or visitations.
Memorials are suggested to the Percival Rescue Squad, Sidney Rescue Squad, Odyssey Hospice, Sidney Ambassador or Percival Community Church.
