Rebecca Lynn Parr, 45, of Nebraska City died at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lincoln Nov. 1, 2012. She was born July 27, 1967 at Burlington, VT, to Russell and Elsie (Clayton) Cummins, Sr.
She is survived by husband Michael Parr of Fort Worth, Texas; son Michael Parr of Arlington, Texas; daughter Megan Daniels and husband Scott of Nebraska City; grandchildren Madison Daniels and Audrey Daniels; sister Kim Myers of Sanborn, Fla.; brothers Russell Cummins, Jr. and wife Rose of Decatur, Neb, Dan Cummins and wife Karen of Shiloh, Ill., Ervin Cummins and wife Denise of Sibley, Iowa, and Robert Cummins of Onawa, Iowa; special friends Wayne Jepson, Lory Reiners and Michael Straight; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded by her parents and sister Helen Cummins.
She lived in Onawa, Iowa, and Arlington, Texas, moving to Nebraska City three years ago. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at various nursing homes. She loved cooking, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City with Rev. Jerry Albright of the First Christian Church officiating.
Pallbearers are Dan Cummins, Robert Cummins, Russell Cummins, Jr., Ervin Cummins, Joshua Cummins and Cody Cummins.
A memorial fund has been established.
Visitation is 9-10:45 a.m. Monday at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City.
