William F. Criger, 87, of Lincoln died Oct. 23, 2012. He was born in Auburn to J.W. and Mary (Cain) Criger.
He served in the Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion and Southview Christian Church in Lincoln. He was a 35-year employee for Morton House/Lipton Tea in Nebraska City. He graduated from Auburn High School.
He is survived by wife Lucile; children Gary (Jacquie) of Chicago, Terry (Patricia) of Lincoln, and Patricia Monk of Lincoln; grandchildren Todd Criger, Denver; Alissa Ferguson, Denver, Jason Criger, Omaha, Adam Monk, Lincoln, and Amanda Monk, Lincoln; three great grandchildren; sister LaVeta DeFreece, Auburn; and brother Kenneth Criger, Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. on Friday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Visitation with family is Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
