  • Knights begin heavy lifting

  • As they might say in literary circles, this is where the plot thickens.
The Lourdes football team has had a relatively easy time of it so far with blow out wins over Cedar Bluffs, Omaha Christian Academy and East Butler, teams that have a total of one win in nine games.

The Lourdes football team has had a relatively easy time of it so far with blow out wins over Cedar Bluffs, Omaha Christian Academy and East Butler, teams that have a total of one win in nine games.
Freeman and Exeter-Milligan, the next two foes on the Knights' schedule, are unbeaten.
Freeman beat Sterling, 44-0, to start the season. The Falcons also own a 46-14 win over East Butler and a 53-14 win over Omaha Christian Academy.
The scores in those last two games are similar to those Lourdes recorded.
Exeter-Milligan lacks the common opponent connection that Freeman has, but the Timberwolves still look extremely tough with wins over Deshler, 56-22; Cross County, 46-0; and Shelby 76-36.
Exeter-Milligan will travel to play at Johnson-Brock this week.
