  • The Nebraska City and Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca softball teams each got in two games of action during a rain shortened tourney on Saturday at the Syracuse Ball Complex.

S-D-A and Nebraska City met in the first round with the home team taking a 9-0 win.

Nebraska City played Southern in the second round of the tourney and dropped a 7-1 decision.

S-D-A scored two runs early in its semifinal round game against Cass County Central, but the Crush rallied back and ended up taking a 3-2 final decision.

Not long after the conclusion of the second games for Nebraska City and S-D-A, rain forced the suspension of play and, eventually, the cancellation of further action.
