An state Attorney General's Office investigation led to the Aug. 16 arrest of a 71-year-old Nebraska City man for suspicion of possession of child pornography.
State investigators and deputies with the Otoe County Sheriff's Office arrested Roger Brym at his daughter's home in rural Otoe County.
Otoe County Attorney David Partsch said investigators seized a computer from the home, which is alleged to contain multiple files depicting children under the age of 18 in sexual situations.
Partsch said he will file felony charges alleging that Brym participated in peer-to-peer file sharing using the computer.
Partsch said it is a felony for anyone over the age of 19 to possess sexual images of children under the age of 18 as participants.
He said the peer-to-peer file sharing networks causes him to consider also filing charges of distribution of child pornography, since others could download the files.
