Evelyn L. Brammeier, 94, died Aug. 12, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse. She was born on Feb. 23, 1918, in Unadilla to Dick and Francis (Page) Brinkman. She married Lorenz A. Brammeier on April 21, 1941 in Syracuse.
Evelyn worked as a cosmetologist then as an owner/operator of a meat locker in Cook for over 30 years with Lorenz.
Evelyn was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ (Osage). She enjoyed quilting, bowling, square dancing and many different types of crafts.
Evelyn is survived by daughters Janis Brandt and husband John of Syracuse and Kathi Saathoff and husband Dennis of Adams; five grandchildren: Jen Davis and husband Mike of Norwalk, Iowa, Jason Brandt and wife Raela of Fairbury, Lisa Otto and husband Dean of Adams, Kim Otto and husband Brian of Cortland and Ryan Saathoff of Adams; nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law Verna Brinkman of Cook; brother-in-law Laurence Royal of Unadilla; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by brothers Edwin Brinkman and Dick Brinkman and sister Ellen Royal.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ (Osage) in rural Cook. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery at 1 p.m. in Syracuse.
Visitation is Friday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
