The stream that fills the ponds at Wildwood and Steinhart parks has stopped running
Dave Schmitz, a resident near the park, said without the stream the pond in Wildwood Park will soon be dry too.
He said neighbors believe the stream last ran dry in the 1990s.
Dan Giittinger, public properties director, said it will take some time for Wildwood Pond to go dry because the tube that feeds Steinhart Pond leaves a sizable pool.
He said the level of Steinhart Pond is about a foot to 1.5 feet below normal, but does not affect recreation or fishing.
