  • City agenda includes museum grant, Christian music festival and downtown pep rally

  • The agenda for the Aug. 6 city council meeting includes a grant to promote Nebraska City musuems, a Christian music festival and permission to hold a high school pep rally around the courthouse.


    The Christian Music Festival is scheduled Aug. 19, the pep rally on Sept. 7. The museum association is planning an advertising campaign for listeners of KGBI radio in Omaha.

  • The agenda for the Aug. 6 city council meeting includes a grant to promote Nebraska City musuems, a Christian music festival and permission to hold a high school pep rally around the courthouse.
    The Nebraska City Museum Association is planning to promote tourism with a three-month advertising campaign targeting listeners of KGBI Radio in Omaha.
    The association is asking for $1,374 fro LB840 funds and the association will match with $1,800.
    The Nebraska City High School Student Council is requesting to hold a pep rally and parade around the Otoe County Courthouse on Sept. 7.
    Rose Ralstin of Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce will request use of Nuckolls Square Park from noon to 4 p.m.  on Sunday, Aug. 19, for a Christian music festival.
     
    The local ReLeasT band and the worship band from the United Methodist Church are scheduled to play. Brad Kaufman of Grate Eats is planning to grill food.
    Robert and Judy Lowrey are on the agenda to ask for closing of Fifth Corso from 9 to 9 1/2 streets and a connector road to Fourth Corso from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, for an auction.
