  • Samuel Mier, 25, of Topeka, Kan., entered a not guilty plea July 30 in Otoe County district court to charges of robbery, false imprisonment and terroristic threats.
Mier, who appeared with Otoe County Public Defender Michael Ziskey, is schedueld for trial on Sept. 5.
He was arrested along with 23-year-old Cynthia Cashman of Topeka after three Nebraska City teens reported they were robbed at gun and knife-point at Steinhart Park.
The teens told police that after taking their money and personal belongings, Mier ordered them to swim out in the lake. The tires of the teen's car were slashed and the couple left the park.
A Sept. 5 trial date was earlier scheduled for Cashman.
