  • After picking up July 4 wins against Auburn, the Nebraska City Juniors and Seniors are beginning the final stretch of their regular season schedules.
    The Juniors, who are sporting a record of 14-8, are scheduled to play at 7 p.m. tonight at Beninngton, then return home to battle with Bellevue East at 4 p.m. Saturday and Hickman at 6 p.m. Sunday. Area tournament action will begin Friday, July 13.
    Nebraska City will be playing in the Plattsmouth Juniors district after being moved from the Fairbury tournament.
    The Seniors, who are sporting a 12-6 record, will play at home against Nehawka at 6 p.m on Saturday and host Hickman at 8 p.m. Sunday. Other games upcoming are Dinsdale Auto and Beatrice on the road for 8 p.m. starts on July 10 and 11, followed by a 2 and 4 p.m. doubleheader with Bennington at home on July 15 and a single 7 p.m. game at Syracuse on July 16.
    The Nebraska City Seniors will host their district tourney with action getting started on July 20.
