Jerry Lynn Briley, 70, of Nebraska City died at his home June 13, 2012. He was born May 7, 1942 at Nebraska City to Roy Oliver and Grace Elizabeth (Graham) Briley. He married Suzanne Rae Leeper Jan. 15, 1962 at Nebraska City.
He is survived by wife Suzanne, son Robert Briley, daughter Lori Neeman and husband Lonnie, all of Nebraska City; four grandchildren, Jon Neeman and wife Kalea of Auburn, Christine Neeman, Audrey Briley and Grace Briley, all of Nebraska City; brothers Larry Briley and wife Mardeena of Percival, Iowa, and Dave Briley, Sr. of Nebraska City; sisters-in-law Joan Weible of Nebraska City and Beverly Jordan and husband Bill of Sidney, Iowa; brother-in-law Harvey Leeper of Hobe Sound, Fla.; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded by sister-in-law Bee Whitmore and brother-in-law Bud Weible.
He lived in the Percival and Nebraska City areas his entire life. He was a farmer and truck driver. He was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ and Nebraska City Eagles Aerie No. 968.
He enjoyed fishing, plowing snow and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Bethel United Church of Christ in Nebraska City with Rev. Rodger Good officiating.
Burial is at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. Memorials are suggested to Bethel United Church of Christ or Otoe County Relay For Life.
Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Friday with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.
